Saint Michael's is a New York State - Department of Health certified residential adult care facility under the aegis of the Greek Orthodox Archdicese of America. It is the ONLY Greek Orthodox adult home in the United States and all the residents are Greek Orthodox. While most residents are from the NY/NJ/CT metropolitan area, there are a growing number of them from other states and individuals have recently been admitted from Colorado, Mississippi, Indiana and elsewhere. Overall, the programs and services of St. Michael's are specifically designed for those individuals who seek assisted living in a Greek Orthodox environment.
