Each year in conjunction with the Feast Day of the Archangels, St. Michael’s hosts its annual Name Day Gala. The gala is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of the Home and to honor the chosen recipient of the Archangel Michael Award. This award is presented to a distinguished member of our community who embodies and promotes the finer qualities and traditions of our Greek Orthodox Heritage. Past recipients of this Award include, Archbishop Demetrios, Archbishop Iakovos, Christos Spyopoulos, Dimitrios & Georgia Kaloidis, Nicholas Bouras, Judge Yorka Linakis, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Judge Nicholas Tsoucalas and others.

Taking place on November 10th, 2010 at the Metropolitan Club, friends and supporters of St. Michael’s joined together to pay tribute to both the quality care that is offered by the Home and the Archangel Award honorees, Mr. & Mrs. Georgia Kaloidis.
