2015 ANNUAL NAME DAY GALA
Honoring Leadership 100
Each year in conjunction with the Feast Day of the Archangels, St. Michael’s hosts its annual Name Day Gala. The gala is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of the Home and to honor the chosen recipient of the Archangel Michael Award. This year the Home is honoring Leadership 100. In 1984, under the guidance of Archbishop Iakovos, Leadership 100 was created as an endowment fund of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese through which Greek Orthodox leaders were asked to commit themselves to offer $10,000 a year for a total of $100,000 each to maintain the life-sustaining ministries of the Church.Today Leadership 100 grants have been instrumental in seeding and nurturing such organizations as the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) and the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC).Leadership 100 is a driving force to seed and nurture new programs that advance Orthodoxy and Hellenism into the 21st Century.

The raffle will be drawn on the date of the event and are $50.00 a piece. First prize is $5,000.00, second prize is $2,500.00, and third prize is $1,250.00. There are a limited number of tickets to be sold. Please contact 914-476-3374 if you are interested in purchasing raffle tickets before the event.
